Rob Ashton

Rob Ashton was elected as first vice-president of ILWU Canada in 2012 and became president of ILWU Canada in April 2016. Previously, he was elected to the Local 500 executive board and served on various local committees during this time. Ashton is vice-president of the Canadian Maritime Workers Council, president of the Pacific Coast Maritime Council, a member of the BC Federation of Labour’s executive council and a member of the Canadian Labour Congress.
