Leslie Meingast in 1980 formed TPD with a partner group and expanded rapidly to several countries. With the advent of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990, she partnered and later formed a successful not-for-profit to promote and provide employment to individuals with disabilities. Meingast was vice-chair, chair and past chair of the Forum for International Trade Training.
