Julia Hanlon has been working in the brewing industry for 17 years and in her current role at Steamworks Brewing Co. since 2015. She and her team have won many brewing awards, including three gold medals at the 2022 Canadian Brewing Awards. They were the first female-led brewing team to win Best in Show for Steamworks’ Flagship IPA in 2016.

Favourite sports team: I have recently become obsessed with Formula One.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of applied science in chemical and biological engineering (University of British Columbia) and diploma in brewing (Institute of Brewing and Distilling in the U.K.).
