Jerry Asp is one of Canada’s most prominent Indigenous leaders. He negotiated the first impact benefit agreement in B.C. in 1984 and has spent his career leading the way for respectful and responsible development. Asp was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame in 2020, and was named B.C. Mining Person of the Year in 2019.
