Since he was first elected to lead the Osoyoos Indian Band in December 1984, award-winning Chief Clarence Louie, OBC, OC, has emphasized economic development as a means to improve his people’s standard of living. Under more than 36 years of his direction, the Osoyoos Indian Band has become a multi-faceted corporation that owns and manages 11 businesses and seven joint ventures and employs 1,000 people.
