Chad Norman Day is currently serving in his eighth year and third term as the elected president of the Tahltan Central Government. Day has led the Tahltan people through unprecedented growth. He has negotiated several historic agreements with industry, the province and neighbouring First Nations and internally among all the Tahltan governments.
WHAT’S NEW: The Tahltan Nation via the Tahltan Central Government will be the first in British Columbia to sign a Section 7 agreement under the new Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples legislation.
NON-PROFIT CAUSE: I established Healthy Active Tahltans, a fundraiser that supports Tahltan health and fitness initiatives.
BIGGEST LESSON: Always hire excellent lawyers.
