Brenda Baptiste, OBC, is a member of the Osoyoos Indian Band, and is currently working with the Penticton Indian Band to develop and implement a community-based, culturally centered approach to mental health and substance use. She is chair of the Indigenous Tourism Association of British Columbia and an active board member of the Tourism Industry Association of BC.

EDUCATION: Registered nurse.
NON-PROFIT CAUSE: South Okanagan Women In Need Society – this organization provides a number of services for women in the South Okanagan.
