Jeff Nankivell has had a 33-year career in Canada’s foreign service, most recently serving as consul general in Hong Kong. He was posted three times to Canada’s embassy in Beijing, including as deputy ambassador from 2008 to 2011, and from 2011 to 2016, was the director general responsible for Canada’s development assistance across Asia.
