Santa Ono is the 15th president and vice-chancellor of the University of British Columbia. He serves as chair of the U15 Group of Canadian Research Universities, is on the board of directors of Universities Canada and leads the University Climate Change Coalition. A molecular immunologist, Ono has taught at Johns Hopkins, Harvard University and University College London.
