Rick Hansen, OBC, OC, has dedicated his life to awakening the world to the potential of people with disabilities. He is best known as the “Man in Motion” for undertaking an epic 26-month, 40,000-kilometre journey around the world in his wheelchair. Hansen is a three-time world champion, nine-time Pan Am gold medallist and six-time Paralympic medallist.

SOMEONE YOU ADMIRE: Terry Fox. He was a dear friend, and he gave everything in the pursuit of his dream to find a cure for cancer. Terry was an ordinary Canadian with extraordinary determination to make a difference. He proved that people with disabilities have ability, and his journey inspired me to embark on my Man in Motion World Tour.
