After his graduate degree, Fadi Kanafani joined the Chrysler Corp., later DaimlerChrysler and FCA, in Detroit, where he worked for 15 years. In 2011, he moved his family to Vancouver to join Westport Innovations, where he led a global team in developing advanced natural gas engine controls on light- and heavy-duty engines. Kanafani joined MineSense Technologies in 2017.

GREATEST SUCCESS: Advancing the groundbreaking technology that we work on at MineSense, and more specifically, overcoming the technical challenges of installing delicate lab-grade equipment on unforgiving mining machines.
NON-PROFIT CAUSE: For the past eight years I have volunteered at the BC Muslim Association in various capacities. I am grateful for this experience, which allowed me to value Canada’s diversity and inclusivity.
