Bruce McIvor is a partner at First Peoples Law LLP, which he founded. He is recognized nationally and internationally as a leading practitioner of Aboriginal law in Canada. McIvor is an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law, a Fulbright scholar and a member of the Manitoba Métis Federation.

ON-PROFIT CAUSE: I put a lot of time and resources into supporting the Unitarian Church of Vancouver because of their passion for social justice.
BIGGEST LESSON: As Tom Waits says, every day you have to “get behind the mule and plow.”
